Above all else you Wedding Hairstyle has to be comfortable. It should compliment not only your face but your dress as well.

It does no harm to have your regular hairdresser practise on you a few times. By doing this you may decide that the particular Wedding Hairstyle you have dreamt about having since you were a small child actually does nothing for the shape of your face!

If you want a wedding updo and you have relatively short hair then although with many grips and much hairspray it is possible, do remember that your hairdresser can do the impossible but miracles are outwith their reach!

Try to get a rough idea of what sort of style you are looking at for your wedding hairstyle as far in advance as possible. This gives your hair a chance to grow to a length that is more manageable for your hairdresser. After all long hair can easily be cut but it is harder and more expensive to add to your hair.

Always remember it is you that is getting married and not some fairytale image of you that you have held in your imagination since you were six! You dont want to walk down the aisle to your beloved and have him not recognize you because you wedding hairstyle is so different!

Try not to go for something very different. Chances are you will get fed up with it. If an updo requires a lot of help to stay up then as a wedding hairstyle it probably isn't right. Your wedding hairstyle has to stay in place for up to 10 hours, a lot to ask of any hairstyle but particularly difficult when a veil is shoved in, you are being swung around the dance floor and everyone wants to hug you!!

If you decide to opt for flowers or a tiara amongst your wedding hairstyle then make sure that they are securely attached but not hurting.

I would suggest go for elegance and comfort. Something that suits you and brings out your best features. If you can mange a wedding hairstyle that looks just as good down as up then you grab it with both hands, a comb and some grips!!

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Planning a wedding means making a lot of decisions. One of the most important decisions is how the wedding will be photographed and by whom. Based upon my 20+ years of wedding photography in Kansas and surrounding states, I have prepared 5 key points that will help keep your wedding photography planning on track.

An important part of that planning process is the selection and communication with the wedding photographer.

What kind of coverage do you want?

Wedding photography styles generally fall into three categories: photojournalist, traditional, or a combination of both. Traditional photographers will tend to work with more posed images, and have great skills in lighting and working with groups of people. A photographer who is a photojournalist will document the day from a guest's perspective, and will work to capture more of the day's emotions and all the behind-the-scenes action. The photojournalist will rely more upon the natural lighting of the venue and less on creating the perfect look.

A hot trend for modern brides is to go solely for the photojournalistic style of photography. Personally, I think this is a mistake. Your wedding day is also a day to record the family as it was on the day that you got married. You decorated the venue, picked the dress and the tux, and you want to make sure those are captured as a part of your wedding day.

Interview Wedding Photographers

The work of the photographer is obviously very important. When you talk to a photography studio make sure that the work you are looking at was created by the photographer you are interviewing. Many studios use contract photographers who will work to emulate the studio's style.

Another consideration is: does the photographer fit with your personality. Even if you are selecting a photojournalist who will be taking no formal photographs, you still want to meet the photographer and feel comfortable with him/them. They will be seen by your guests and you need to feel that they are a good fit for the temperament of you and your family.

Communicate What You Want in Writing

One of the most important things you need to do when planning your wedding photography is to communicate what you want with your wedding photographer. Many wedding photographers will have a shot list that they can give you to help you plan the wedding day. This list is a great start, but it is generic and does not show the special images that reflect who you are or the uniqueness of the wedding venue.

The reason you want to provide this communication in writing is so the photographer can have it with them during the wedding. You may think you will remember to make a request at the wedding, but will you?

While it's "Your Day", it is also recommended that you review the list with your Groom and all parents. This extra step will give them a chance to add to the list; when you provide it to the photographer, it will be more complete and last minute changes will be reduced.

Plan the Schedule to Allow Enough Time

Way too often the schedule does not allow for time for photographs. For example, if you are a traditionalist, and want to have the formal photographs taken after the wedding, you will need to allow enough time. If the thirty-minute ceremony starts at 6:00, don't have the limo arrive at 6:30 so you can be at the reception by 7:00. It won't work. Photographs will need to be cut or the limo and caterer will need to wait.

The "before-the-wedding" schedule planning is very critical. Brides often schedule hair and nail appointments too close to the time they need to be at the church. These sessions can often run late for a variety of reasons. Allow a little extra time for that problem styling or nail. It is better to have a little down time to socialize than to be rushed.

Another common area where the after-wedding planning can go wrong is with the DJ. If you have purchased a 5-hour package from the photographer, be sure that the DJ knows that key traditional photos need to take place before the photographer is scheduled to leave.

Know The Costs

While this seems somewhat elementary, you will want to make sure that what you are expecting to receive from the photographer is spelled out and in writing. Photographers do not mean to be misleading, but misunderstanding can happen. If you are expecting to have 4 hours of coverage, a finished wedding album with 20 pages and two parents albums, make sure it is spelled out in plain English. If there are potential extra charges for something like overtime or change of location, make sure those charges are spelled out on the agreement.

If the photographer can't provide a simple plain English statement of costs and deliverables you should reconsider not using that photographer. Yes, there can be variables, but those variables should be able to be stated and written down.

WEDDING RING

The wedding ring is the most crucial piece of jewellery that you will give to your partner in your lifetime. It is important that you select an everlasting ring that will not become outmoded or unstylish after a period of time.

Men and ladies have various options available to them when selecting a wedding ring and it is not a necessity to select matching rings. The couple usually picks out their rings together so there is no cause for either the bride or groom to be strung out about selecting the perfect wedding ring. Selecting the rings together takes a great amount of pressure off the couple because they do not have to worry about their partner not liking the ring that should last for their whole lifetime.

The ring material is a vital consideration for both men and ladies. The conventional materials include gold, silver and platinum, though the rings can be made from any material the couple selects.

Gold is the most accepted wedding ring material. Of these three options, fourteen karat gold is the type that is advised for wedding rings. Eighteen karat gold may also be used, but because it is a softer metal, it is more susceptible to scratches. Twenty-four karat gold is even softer than eighteen karat gold and most people do not endorse making rings out of twenty-four karat gold as it is extremely susceptible to scratches.

Silver is another metal that may also be employed in making a wedding ring. Silver is an extremely soft white metal and thus is subject to scratching. In addition, it is also susceptible to tainting and discolorations but it is still a popular choice due to its comparatively low cost. Platinum is a valuable metal that is becoming increasingly favored as wedding ring material.

After selecting a metal for the wedding ring, it comes time to think about the style of the ring. When it comes to style there are more options available then there are for metals. Some of the basic wedding ring styles include flat bands, half-round bands and comfit bands.

A flat band is one that is rectangular in cross section. These kinds of bands are also embellished with engravings.

Half-round bands are the most conventional style available. These bands are flat on the bottom or against the finger and have an arched structure on the top. Comfort-fit bands feature an oval cross section and are heavier and costlier than the other kinds of rings. If a bride chooses to wear her wedding band with her engagement ring, she should think about selecting a wedding band style that matches her engagement ring so that neither one overpowers the other.

Next on the list is engraving your wedding ring. A good jeweler should be capable of engraving anything you would like onto your ring including letters, numbers and symbols.

Several couples opt to have their names or initials, together with the marriage date, engraved on the interior of the ring. This is not mandatory, however, as the couple does not have to have the rings engraved. If the couple does go for engraving though, they must take note that they can opt to engrave anything they wish on the rings. It might either be names and the marriage date or a phrase which has symbolic meaning to the couple.

The marriage ring is a particularly significant piece of jewellery as it is designed to be worn for a lifetime. Purchasing a marriage ring could be a magnificent experience if the couple makes an effort to enjoy the experience rather than stressing about it.

to do so. Of course if you’d rather keep your wedding ceremony short and sweet, just use the essential pieces and then make your way to your wedding reception and enjoy the party.

WEDDING CEREMONY

The wedding ceremony is the part of your wedding where you and your fiance go from being engaged to being married. As the crucial element that makes it official, the wedding ceremony is the part of the wedding that people find most nerve-wracking and also the most meaningful. The wedding ceremony is the most important part of your wedding and it's also the reason for celebrating at your wedding reception and other post-wedding parties. So what does the wedding ceremony entail exactly?

Wedding ceremonies differ based on whether the ceremony is religious or civil. If the wedding ceremony is religious, the ceremony elements can change from religion to religion. But, most modern wedding ceremonies are made up of the same critical parts. Each piece of the wedding ceremony has its purpose and meaning. Now that you want to become “husband and wife”, you’ll need a basic understanding of the common parts of the wedding ceremony.

Here are the fundamental elements of the wedding ceremony:

Processional

The processional is the very beginning of the wedding ceremony and it involves the presentation of the bridal party and eventually the bride. During the processional, usually set to music, the bridal party walks down the aisle and is followed by the bride. The general protocol for the processional allows first for the seating of parents, then bridesmaids walk down the aisle accompanied by groomsmen, after which the maid of honor follows, then the flower girl and ring bearer (if used) and then the bride enters and makes her way down the aisle.

Greeting

Once all of the critical people are in position, the minister or officiant welcomes the wedding guests to the ceremony. The greeting can be as simple as a short thank you to the guests for coming or as complex as a reading or a brief history of how you and your fianc? met and became a couple.

Statement of Intention

As the name implies, the statement of intention essentially tells all who attend the wedding that the bride and groom desire to be married out of their own free will. The minister or officiant also may take this time to speak about the commitment and responsibility that is assumed upon entering into the bond of marriage.

Exchange of Wedding Vows

The wedding vows are the emotionally binding part of the wedding ceremony. This is where you will make promises to your fianc? about the life you’ll have together. You can elect either to use common wedding vows that you can find online or receive from your officiant or you can create personal wedding vows using a wedding vow book or just working from scratch.

Exchange of Wedding Rings

Directly following the wedding vows is the exchanging of wedding rings. One at a time, the bride and groom each takes a ring and places it on the other’s finger. As the wedding ring is slipped onto the ring finger, words are said to cement the union. Typically the phrase “With this ring, I thee wed” is repeated by both the bride and groom.

Pronouncement of Marriage

After the rings, the minister or officiant formally pronounces you husband and wife. Usually a few words are added about sanctity of marriage and to review again that you have consented to be married and have sealed your commitment with wedding vows and the exchanging of wedding rings. This is also where the minister or officiant typically says "You may now kiss the bride."

Presentation of the Couple

Now that you’re officially married, the minister or officiant will present you to the wedding guests for the first time as a married couple.

Recessional

The recessional is the exact opposite of the processional. The bride and groom make their way down the aisle together and they are followed by the wedding party and their parents. The recessional marks the conclusion of the wedding ceremony. Congratulations! Now you’re officially married.

Now that you know the basic parts of the wedding ceremony, it will be easy for you to arrange your ceremony to your liking. In addition to the elements listed, you can add prayers, readings, special ceremonies or even songs to your wedding ceremony if you choose

WEDDING CAKE

One of the most important decisions for your wedding will include picking out the perfect cake. In the past, all wedding cakes may have been “created equal” but now there are astounding varieties to choose from. While most guests forget many specifics about weddings, the wedding cake often stands out in their minds. Here are a few tips to help you find the cake that will impress your guests and make your wedding day perfect.

Taste Testing: Finding the Right Flavor

No longer are brides only limited to wedding cakes that are either yellow cakes or white cakes. There are so many flavors of cakes available that it may be hard to choose the one you like the most. Some flavors that are available for you to choose from include carrot, almond, chocolate, hazelnut and yellow-butter.

Complement With Icing and Fillings

When trying to choose the perfect cake, you also need to consider the variety of icings and fillings that are available to make wedding cakes both tasty and beautiful. When you are making a choice of icing, be sure to consider the temperature of the place where you will hold your reception. If you are having an outdoor wedding in the summer, some types of icing may melt and slide off the cake. So be sure to ask your cake designer to help you pick an icing that will be suitable and long-lasting. There are many new flavors of fillings and icings available as well. Fillings can range from raspberry, strawberry and key lime to mocha, chocolate and caramel. If you like more than one filling, consider using several that complement one another.

Abandoning the Ordinary

Many people only think of traditional round, tiered cakes when they think of wedding cakes, but why not abandon tradition for something contemporary and stylish. Maybe you have always dreamed of a cupcake wedding cake or a cheesecake wedding cake. You can make cakes of different types or shapes to match the theme of your wedding. If you are having a beach wedding, you could have a cake shaped like a sea urchin with decorations of icing starfish. A winter wedding may bring about visions of a cake shaped and decorated like Christmas gifts. No matter what theme you may have at your wedding, you can find a cake that is unique as you are. So feel free to abandon the ordinary and have a cake that breaks tradition.

Enhance with Decorations

Another way to make great wedding cakes is to have them match your wedding theme is by using decorations. You can choose decorations for your cake such as a specific cake holder, a cake topper or even fountains to go with your cake. If you are having a wedding outdoors, you may choose flower decorations for your cake or a cake topper that incorporates flowers. If your wedding is around Christmas, you may consider topping your cake with a star. No matter what your theme may be, you can use decorations to bring out that theme and enhance your wedding cake.

Remember, when choosing a cake, the most important thing is that you are happy with your cake. Wedding cakes are a beautiful part of any wedding, so be sure to find the one that fits your taste and adds a few ounces of beauty to your wedding day.

WEDDING FLOWER

Wedding flower arrangement is as important as choosing the right flowers. The first thing that guests will see in terms of your wedding is the invitation. When they view the wedding invitation, they will quickly get an idea as to the formality of the wedding and the theme of the wedding. This is why it is so important that your wedding invitation paper corresponds well with the wedding itself.

The first step in choosing the right paper is to be aware of how formal or informal your wedding is going to be. By choosing a very formal looking paper when you are having a very informal wedding, guests will be thrown off and their attire may not be appropriate. So try to make the formality of the invitation paper match the formality of the wedding itself.

The next step in picking the perfect paper is to match the style of the paper to the style of the wedding. For example, the colors and design at my ceremony and reception all matched my wedding dress. So in the same way I made sure that the wedding invitation paper also had a similar color scheme and design as my dress. That way before the guests even realize it, they are getting a glimpse of what the wedding will be like.

The last big thing to keep in mind when selecting your paper is the theme of the wedding. For example, my sister had a country and western theme at her wedding, so she chose wedding invitation paper that would indicate that by the design. There are a number of different styles to choose from when it comes to finding wedding invitation paper. This makes it easy to find something that will fit well with your wedding theme.

There are a number of great companies that make wedding invitation paper. Many of these can be found online at the company websites. By buying the paper online, you can quickly and easily search through thousands of paper options and choose the perfect one for your wedding. Some sites even have a way for you to create your own design or layout for the wedding invitation paper. So make sure that you pick the best wedding invitation paper for your wedding. The perfect paper is only a click away.

wedding planner

A wedding planner is an individual that you will hire that will take care of the basic planning of your wedding. Is this person to be trusted to handle each and every aspect of your wedding? How will you know that this person is going to know what you want and will they stick to your budget? It is often a scary thought to think that you will not have a handle in each step of the wedding process if you hire a wedding planner, but you will have amazing results if you find the right planner!

What They Do

The wedding planner is hired to handle virtually every aspect of the wedding celebration. In most cases, they will help you to make choices and help you find the right wedding service providers for your wedding. They will help to maintain a balance in what is happening, when it is happening, who is doing it and how much it’s going to cost. They will manage the overall function of the wedding, making sure that everything goes as planned from the beginning to the end.

But don’t worry, most of the time the wedding planner works under your direction. You will communicate to them your needs and desires and he or she will make sure that it happens. You will be able to have your say in what you want, within reason of course. You’ll be able to follow through on their happenings as well. Don’t forget, it’s you writing the checks so you’ll always make the final decision.

How to Choose a Wedding Planner

The hardest part of having a wedding planner is choosing one. It is important that you find someone that you like, trust and have confidence in. You’ll need to put a whole lot of trust in them to handle your wedding day celebration since this is the only time that you will be getting married and you want it to be perfect. Look for these characteristics in your wedding planner.

• Are they easy to communicate with? This is very important as you need them to be able to do what you want, understand what you want and to tell you when something is going wrong. A wedding is not a time in your life that surprises are a good thing.

• Can they accommodate for your tastes and preferences? It is quite important for the wedding planner to be on the same page as you are. Sit and look through a wedding magazine with the prospective planners. Discuss the pictures of weddings in the magazine and get an idea if your tastes line up.

• What aspects of the wedding will they cover and how much say so are you going to have in the wedding planning? This is completely up to your discretion here. But make sure that they understand what you expect them you handle solo and which elements of planning you want to be involved with personally.

• Are you comfortable with them? You need to be able to be comfortable with the individual you choose since you will be spending the next few months with them. Make sure that you like them! Planning a wedding can be a great deal of fun, but there are also frequently many stressful times as well. If they even annoy you a little bit at the beginning, chances are they’ll drive you nuts by the end.

All of these things can help your wedding to go smoother. The wedding planner is a tool that no wedding should be without!

A Wedding Shower Invitation should be attractive and stylish!

A Wedding Shower Invitation should be attractive and stylish!
by: Mike Yeager

Wedding shower invitations should lay out all of the necessary information, yet still be attractive. One way to do this is to have a picture engraved on the invitation. Ask your engraver to add a small design on the inside of your invitation or wherever you have information about the reception. If, for example, an ice cream social is your theme see if there is an ice cream cone or Sundae dish they can emboss onto the paper without taking away from the main body of the invitation. Remember that subtlety is stylish; you don’t want to come across as overpowering with your theme. It may be difficult sometimes to know who to invite to the wedding shower. As a general rule, the wedding shower hostess or hostesses should invite all family members of both the bride and the groom. She should also invite close friends of the bride and the bride's family. She may also want to invite some of the bride-to-be's co-workers. She should be sure to consult with the bride when compiling the guest list. Try to organize the people invited so some will set up the wedding shower game, someone else will set up the wedding shower favor, and so on. What do I put on a wedding Shower Invitation? The wedding shower invitation should include the name of the bride to be, the date and time of the shower, and the address and phone number of the hostess/hostesses. If you are concerned about the attendance at your wedding shower, consider including on the invitation a deadline date for the RSVP. (This is usually about two weeks prior to the shower date.) It may be difficult to make up a wedding shower invitation without prior experience. Because of this, it may be a good idea to have the same person who did your bridal shower invitation to also do your wedding shower invitation.

wedding planner-video

Your Wedding Budget: Setting And Sticking To It

Your Wedding Budget: Setting And Sticking To It
by: Ron King

Want to make sure your marriage doesn't end up on the rocks before you get to the chapel? Then set a realistic wedding budget -- and stick to it.In the process of planning a wedding, budget concerns often is a source of disagreement for a couple. They may have different ideas about what kind of wedding they want, and about what they can afford. To make the wedding a truly happy occasion, it is important that the couple discusses financial constraints early.Set A Budget And Save For ItThe first tip is -- discuss finances before the wedding plans begin. Everyone involved in the decision-making process needs to understand exactly how much money is available for the wedding. To maximize that budget, you should start saving early for your wedding. Advance planning and saving will allow you to maintain or even exceed your budget, comfortably. And that will make wedding planning easier and more fun. Get Everyone On-BoardOnce your wedding budget has been established, set it aside for a few days and then review it again. This gives everyone a chance to let the information sink in. The budget review after this waiting period gives the participants a chance to verify that they understand and agree to the budget. This is vitally important, because someone who does not agree with the budget may overspend in 1 area, leaving the rest of the budget in jeopardy. Budget Line ItemsWhen you've decided exactly how much money is available for your wedding, the next step is to divide the total into budget categories, such as the venue, food and drink, bride's attire, groom's attire, transportation, entertainment, photography, favors, centerpieces, and gifts. It is also advisable to set aside money for unforeseen expenses. Who PaysPart of establishing a budget is to be clear on who will pay for what. Shopping And NegotiatingYou will need to negotiate contracts for services, and so you must know the budget for each area of the wedding. If you have allotted $250 for entertainment, look for a DJ whose rate is approximately that amount, then negotiate to ensure that you remain under budget. It's wise to shop around and compare prices for services. A company may come highly recommended, but if they are outside your price range, let them know why you are going to have to choose another company. You may be surprised at how willing they will be to give you a better offer.Substitute Creativity For CashDoing things on your own is another way to stay under budget. Homemade invitations or making your own favors or centerpieces can greatly reduce the wedding cost, freeing up funds for other areas of the wedding. Do not fall into the trap of viewing your budget as restrictive. Instead of thinking about what you can't afford, focus on how you can make your wedding and reception truly unique. You will be inspired to create a wonderful, memorable wedding regardless of your budget constraints. Anticipate The UnforeseenRealize that there are bound to be snags along the way. If you go over budget in 1 area, you will need to cut the budget in another area. As long as you stay aware of your spending and realize the ramifications of all your actions, you can roll with the punches and alter your plans to accommodate any needed changes.Make It A Wonderful MemoryA wedding budget can cause emotional strain on a couple and their relationship. It is important for them to discuss their finances and establish a clear budget for their wedding plans. Doing this early in the wedding planning process can help the couple to avoid conflict during the planning phase of the wedding. It can also make the wedding more fun for everyone, and start out the marriage on a positive note. Wedding video, however, is a newer art than wedding photography, and the two forms of preserving your memories cannot really be lumped together when shopping for these professional services.Nowadays, nearly everyone has a home video camera, and the quality of pictures they produce is quite good; better, in fact, than professional equipment could turn out just a few years ago. This has led many people to neglect the importance of using a professional videographer to record once-in-a-lifetime events. Yes, your friend Bob's nifty new handy-dandy super camcorder can turn out some pretty good-looking stuff, but if you depend on friend Bob to provide your wedding video, you are setting yourself up to be sadly disappointed.First of all, Bob's new camera, while quite snazzy, still will not be up to the level of equipment the serious professional videographer will bring to your wedding. When shopping for video, ask the videographer to explain to you what a 3-chip camera is, and why it makes better video than a home camcorder. Also ask him about the various tape formats used by the pros...SVHS, HI8, Betacam, and get him to explain the advantages of these over standard home formats. Oh, and wouldn't it be nice to have great sound quality on your video, so you can actually hear your wedding vows, and your music? Chances are pretty good that friend Bob won't own the sophisticated wireless microphones the professional uses to record even a whisper.Ever sat and watched Bob's 6-hour production of Little Bobby's Birthday Party? This brings us to one of the areas where the pros really excel, editing. No, editing is NOT "cutting out" or throwing away any of your wedding video. Editing is an almost magical process whereby the professional videographer refines and assembles the pictures he carefully gathered at your wedding into a polished, pleasing record of your wedding day. Every videographer has his own style, and there are as many types of wedding video available as there are videographers. Look at lots of sample videos, find the videographer with a style that pleases you, and with a personality you can be comfortable with for six or eight hours on your wedding day. After your wedding is over, all you will have to help you remember a very important day will be your wedding photos and your wedding video. Select these professionals with care and you'll never be sorry!

The Wedding Planning Timeline

The Wedding Planning Timeline
by: Mike Lindsey

The first thing that needs to be considered when planning the ultimate wedding is how much time you will give yourself for the planning. In essence; this means what day that you will set the date of the wedding. This may sound like a trivial matter, but it really is important because it will let you know what the time limit is for making your preparations. Some weddings can take up to 3-4 months to prepare for and plan. This is pretty typical; depending on how big you are planning for your wedding to be and how fancy etc. If you are not giving yourself more than a month, then planning is naturally different. Because of the differences in the time that you are giving yourself to planning the wedding, it is best to give the best planning methods and you may use them or not use them as they apply to your case. One of the most important factors that go with planning a wedding is determining who you will be delegating specific duties to. For example, if you are terrible at choosing flowers, who will you assign to do it for you? It is always best to try to give different duties to others so that you will not be overwhelmed by them yourself. Let’s take a look at some of the various duties that you can hand out:

Catering: Who do you believe would be the best person to handle all of the arrangements for the food and drink at your wedding?

Invitations and seating arrangements: This person will be addressing and mailing out invitations and making sure that people are seated in a fashion that will ensure everyone’s mutual comfort and enjoyment

Decorations for wedding and reception includes center pieces ท Rehearsal dinners etc.

Music and/or DJ

Brides maid and groomsmen gifts and favors ท Gowns, and tuxedos

Bridal showers/bachelor parties etc. All of these things are usual must haves when it comes to a wedding, unless of course, you opt not to have bridesmaids or groomsmen in the wedding. All of these things can be murder to try to do on your own as well. That is why you have to get in touch with people who are capable of taking over some of the menial jobs for you. All of these things seem small at first, but they can quickly add up to quite a bit of money when they are all combined together. After you have delegated the responsibilities, you should next set a specific time period to have all of the tasks completed. Creating a to-do list and time sheet is a great way to do this. That way, when all of the tasks are finished you can easily check them off. You should set up specific times and days to discuss the progress of things as well, just in case things are not going so well. In doing this you will be able to help make sure that all things are running smoothly. You might be wondering what happens when you have done all of this and are ready to get started. First of all, you have to be willing to follow the general wishes of the couple to be wed; that is unless you are the couple and are planning your own wedding. When planning a wedding on a budget you have to lower your requirements just a bit. For example, you can’t try to have to filet mignon if you are throwing the wedding on a fish stick budget. I have broken down the various aspects of the wedding planning to the last details so that you will get a better idea of what I mean. Ideally, you would want to have at least a year to plan the wedding, but that is not always possible or desired. For the purposes of this guide, I have set up a 12 month wedding timeline that will certainly make it a little bit easier to host your wedding. 12 months before your Wedding day:

Announce the engagement

Set your wedding date

Create a budget

Hire a Wedding Coordinator (optional)

Create your guest list

Start brainstorming ideas and themes

Reserve your Ceremony spot

Book an Officiate

Make reservations for your Reception area

Book a Photographer and Videographer

Book Caterer, Florist and Music (Band, DJ, etc.)

Look for a Wedding gown and Tux, allowing time for alterations and fittings

Register for gifts

Select and call the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Agree on a date to order bridesmaids' dresses and groomsmen's tuxes

Choose a destination for your Honeymoon

Apply for passports, if required 6 months before your Wedding day:

Finalize your guest list

Decide on the timeline and details of Ceremony and Reception

Order/make invitations, and thank you notes

Make airline and hotel reservations for the Honeymoon

Choose a caterer, a florist and place an order for the wedding cake.

Book Transportation (Limo, Antique Car, Etc.) for wedding day

Shop for any Party rentals 3-4 months before your Wedding day:

Mail out/hand deliver invitations

Confirm wedding details and contracts with all wedding vendors

Choose gifts for your attendants

Set a date and time for the rehearsal dinner

Help make travel arrangements for any out-of-town guests

Make final alterations and fittings for the Wedding Gown and Tux

Set time with your Photographer for the Bridal Portrait or Engagement shoot 1 month before your Wedding day:

Apply for the marriage license ท Buy your wedding bands

Finalize music list and no-play list with band or DJ

Attend showers ท Make insurance arrangements 1-2 weeks before your Wedding day:

Schedule the rehearsal a day or two before your wedding day

Make an appointment with a Beauty Salon for day of wedding

Send a wedding announcement to the local newspapers (optional)

Make necessary arrangements for name &
by James Brown

A brief or quick view of what you have in mind for your guests is imparted through the invitation. The person that receives the invitations will unthinkingly be attracted to the contents like the color, fabric or texture and printed messages or font.
Most think that invitations are not that important but you are wrong as wedding invitations are part and parcel of any wedding and must be arranged and finalized ahead of time. Starting from the series of guest lists to determining the color, size, design and material for the envelope, every important item or detail will really be significant to have an absolute and complete wedding celebration or festivity.
You must choose or pick out the right invitation because they are important to the wedding aspect. Have time to sit and talk it over with your fiancee with regards the people that you are going to invite, people who are important and have touched both your lives.
Wedding invitations come in different styles, shapes and designs. It may be a casual or informal wedding invitation or having a touch of richness and a luxurious wedding invite. Most of the details like the map or the location as to where the ceremony will take place are inside a wedding invitation.
The current style for invitations are not the typical rectangular shape but any unique shape you can imagine like oblong, square, round and even tri-fold. To make it unique you can have your invitations embellished or place on a fabric with needlework and be mailed and rolled as a scroll or you can decorate the surface of a wood with cut or carved designs. You can even add details, decorations or ornaments like ribbons, buttons, belts and any design that will tickle your fancy.
If you have a limited budget and you are cutting costs then its best if you will make your own invitation instead of ordering or requesting from an invitation store. Not only will your invitation be unique and one of a kind but the thought that you added your personal touch to it makes it special. You can also check from the internet pictures, clip arts and fonts or you can read books about making your own invitation to make it easier. These resources are very helpful on your part. You can also ask a friend who is good in designing and using the computer to assist and help you choose a design that is appropriate and that fits your wedding theme.
After you have chosen the layout of your invitations then go through the wordings to be written. It is quite hard to put the right words together but keep in mind the venue of your wedding ceremony, the theme of your wedding and if you belong to a religious group. Then, you can get a lot of ideas from this. Calligraphy or font also makes a wedding invitation attractive and beautiful.
A wedding has no format. You choose your preferred design, color, size, theme and information that you want to be printed on the invitation like the venue or place where the wedding ceremony will take place, the direction or location of the church ceremony and other particular details that you want to be added.
Create or order your wedding invitation beforehand as this needs to be delivered or dispatched months or weeks before the ceremony.

About the Author
James Brown writes about fairytaleendeavorsbridals.com on-line coupons, Instant Wedding Toasts discounts and eInvite.com deals

Fun Wedding Favor Ideas

Fun Wedding Favor Ideas
by Denise Sanger

There are wedding favors available for every theme, idea, location and personal taste.
One thing you most likely want from your wedding favors is that they are not only practical but fun too. You want your guests to really be glad they've received this memento from you to remember your wedding day and how special it was for not only you - but for them too.
The best way to guarantee your guests will look back fondly on your wedding day is to give them a fun, but practical wedding favor. Think of practical wedding favors as items that may be used in your guest's houses as the occasion arises.
A few great examples of practical wedding favors are bottle stoppers, measuring spoons, coffee scoops and candles. Now, let's add the fun factor to these same practical favors. If you're having a beach themed wedding, beach ball wedding favors are sure to bring a smile to the faces of your guests. Imagine how cute those little beach balls will look perched on top wine bottles at this summers picnics and barbecues.
Ice cream scoops are fun just as they are. What could be more fun than a scoop of your favorite ice cream any day of the year? Having the ice cream scoop in the shape of a heart adds even more fun factor to this particular favor.
What about the coffee drinkers of the world? Are you a Starbucks fanatic? Then for your wedding favor you may want to choose a cute coffee scoop that may be used with either an Espresso Machine or coffee pot. This coffee favor is sure to be used just about daily in your guest's homes. Coffee, not quite your thing but tea is? An adorable little tea infuser in the shape of a heart would be the perfect fun favor for your wedding.
Luggage tags are the perfect fun wedding favor idea. The same goes for flowers.
Try to select your wedding flowers so that they will be in season at the time of your wedding.
Give Your Florist Creative FreedomYou can save some money by allowing your florist to have a little creative freedom.
Give them your color scheme, perhaps some swatches, and let them know the style of wedding you are planning.
If you have any flowers that you absolutely do not want, let them know that too. Then let them go about selecting your wedding flowers for you.
Be honest with your florist and let them know that you are on a tight budget then let them find the best floral deals for you.
Take Advantage of HolidaysChoosing to have your wedding close to Christmas or just after Easter could be quite a coup in saving on your floral bill.
Most churches and chapels are already decorated for the holiday so your budget will be cut substantially.
The floral decorating is already done for you.
Consider having your Wedding OutdoorsHaving your wedding outdoors, in a garden can give you the beauty of natural wedding flowers.
A garden full of blooms is a lovely backdrop for your wedding. It is also a very inexpensive way to decorate.
An outdoor wedding has a simple quality and is very beautiful.
There are some special considerations that you must remember for an outdoor wedding, but it can create beautiful, special memories.
Try RentalsRenting large potted plants or tropical palms can be an option. They will fill large spaces and usually cost less than purchasing a bunch of flowers to fill the same area.
They can give your ceremony style and bring warmth to the area. This may be an option that will help you save some money.
Do it YourselfSome creative brides are opting to do their wedding flowers themselves. A few roses set against a spray of babies breath and tied with a ribbon makes a lovely bouquet.
Sprinkling some rose petals on the table and around some pillar candles is very simple, yet stunning.
The options are only limited by your imagination.
Silk flowers or dried flowers may also be an option and you can put them in a vase with some colored marbles or pebbles.
When it comes to decorating for your wedding, remember, it is "your wedding" so do what feels right to you.
Select your wedding flowers to reflect your personality and style as well as that of your groom's.
A beautiful wedding does not have to cost a fortune.
About the Author
Liztiany Zakaria is a flower arranging hobbyist who does flower arrangements at leisure to decorate her home. It should be considered psychological abuse. It is bad enough when a woman has lost most of her hair and facial muscles, but when her body looks like a sack full of potato's that is the last straw. Walking in the mall with such a monstrosity makes you want to hide in shame. Any man that wants to stay married to a wife that looks like that should be awarded some kind of medal but it won't be a medal of honor. It would be a medal saying: "I am an idiot". A mans mind is integrated with what I call it an: "Ego Sex Booster". He can possess a thousand women in his bedroom, but if none of them gives his ego a lift they are useless. He needs to make love to a woman who inflates his ego. If a man does not have this type of woman in his bedroom he is miserable. Some of the qualities that a man looks for in a woman are a good appearance combined with uninhibited sexual tastes. A wife that possesses those two qualities will keep her man at home.
Getting a pretty woman is easy if you have a homely one. Take your homely wife to lots of social events. Fund raisers, church socials, dances, and bars are places where pretty women like to go. Make sure you display your wedding ring. Also wear a sad face. When you are seen with the monstrosity called your wife, all the pretty women will become interested in you. They all know that a married man with a homely wife is easy prey for a beautiful woman. The ladies will be smiling and swinging their hips. It won't take long before you are in divorce court and soon after having a new and attractive wife.
Relations between men and women are always made on a give and take basis. If both are receiving as much as they are giving they have created a happy balance. But once the relationship becomes one sided somebody is being abused. A man that is married to an eyesore is put into a position of suffering. If he is poor and also homely he has no choice except to suffer with his misfortune. But if he has a good job there is no reason to continue suffering with a wife that he finds disgusting. The homeliest man with the biggest gut can find an attractive wife. Money talks in this materialistic world. A homely woman who is also obese is capable of finding a gigolo but her self esteem forbids it. Very few women are customers of escort services. Men don't mind buying a pretty wife. The rise in their self esteem and sexual desires will keep the marriage together.
A wife could have many qualities even if she is fat and homely. She might have a high paying job and help her husband with the bills. If she is a good cook her husband can eat delicious food and not rely on fast food restaurants or have to call up for pizza every night. An energetic wife can do all the cleaning and shopping while her husband watches the ball games. She might even bring the beer over to him. Most men need a lot of loving, and a good wife will give him all he wants. These qualities should be more important to a man than the superficial one of good looks. But they are not. A man would be content with a lazy wife with lots of bad habits if she looked like a Hollywood star and was good in bed. Ego fulfillment combined with sexuality is of prime concern to him, without it the marriage is no good. Men rarely divorce a woman who has both of those qualities.
Broken marriages are symbolic of suffering. It is not a happy occurrence when two people split after years of marriage. Not only do they suffer but it takes a toll on their family. Before the final separation every thing should be done to correct the problems that are causing the break up. If the problem is the declining appearance of the woman than research should be done to find out if there are ways to enhance her appearance. If she is obese there are diets and exercises that will help her become better looking. Plastic surgery has come a long way. Hanging skin can be removed without scars. Breasts can be firmed and noses can be reconstructed. The body can be contoured. There are skin creams that will rejuvenate the skin and perfumes that will make her smell better. Beauty salons will do the rest. A woman that makes no effort to enhance her appearance should not be pitied after her husband leaves her. If lying around the house and eating all day is more important than having a husband then she is getting what is deserved. It is essential to a man to have an attractive wife. Nature designed him to be that way and he will find one if his present wife remains less than attractive.
It is the start of a new century. Not only have women been liberated but now men are starting to get a taste of freedom. They no longer will accept a homely and obese wife that tries to keep him in the bedroom. She also has to look good in the shopping malls, and at social events. Men are educating themselves in order to find a well paying job. Their prime purpose is to be able to afford an attractive wife. If the woman that they marry latter turns in to a monstrosity they have every right to leave her. Every hard working guy with a decent job is entitled to an attractive wife and should not settle for less. melviiin1@verizon.net

About the Author
Retired and single recluse.

Ways To Share The Happy Moments Of Your Wedding

Ways To Share The Happy Moments Of Your Wedding

by TM Lung

It can be very sweet and romantic when you are planning for your wedding. It is certain that you will be very busy in order to make your dream wedding come true. Every little detail and moment will be very memorable. As a result, it is very important to document and record all these romantic moments such you can share them with your friends and relatives.
You can take advantages of the internet technology to spread you messages to the whole world. You will share every detail and your emotions from the first day when you start planning your wedding. You will document every moment till your big day. Sometimes the time when you are planning your wedding can be more touching than your actual wedding.
You may register an email account on free services like Gmail and Hotmail. The user name should be able to tell the names of you and your spouse, as well as your wedding date. "AmynJohn080912" is a perfect example. You will then use this email address to communicate with your friends and relatives. They will easily recall your wedding by just looking at your email address.
A wedding website will also be suggested. If you do not want to use paid services, there are some free wedding website services on the web. You may also use a blog as your wedding website. You can put new information about your wedding on your website so that your guests can be kept updated about your wedding.
You will need to stand a lot of pressure during your wedding planning. Sometimes you may even lose your temper. With the wedding website, you can share the emotions on the website. Sharing is always a good way to release your stress. You can even treat your wedding website as a platform to discuss with other brides and grooms. The experiences from other couples can help you in your wedding planning.
You may want to tell your guests as much information about your wedding as possible. However, it will not be quite possible to put all this information into your wedding invitation. For example, it will be quite impossible to put points of attraction about your wedding venue on your invitation card. You can put all this information on your wedding website so that your guests can get more details about your wedding.
Sharing the photos taken on your big day is also an important task. In the past, couple might mail the photos to the guests. This can be very expensive since you will need to pay for the printing of photos and postage. It may even take weeks (if not months) for the guests to receive the photos. A quicker, and also cheaper, option will be putting the photos on your website. You guests will be able to see the photos instantly. If you do not want the photos to be shown to the public, you may send a password to the guests so that only your guests can view the photos.

About the Author
TM Lung designs Free Wedding Invitation Templates. As a matter of fact, over 100,000 couples get married in Vegas each year. So why do people choose a Las Vegas wedding?
Here's a list of nine of the most popular reasons:
1. For a quick, convenient wedding ceremony - Some people don't want to have to wait once they've decided to take the plunge. Whether it's the thrill of a new romance or the stork's impending arrival, time is of the essence. In Vegas you can literally get off the plane, pick up your marriage license and get married, all in the same day.
2. Some couples don't want a huge wedding with everybody staring at them - These people are either very shy or have a phobia about being in front of large groups of people. You can have a wedding in Vegas with only the couple and a witness if that's what you prefer.
3. To elope - similar to #1 but usually this means a couple who is young and "running away to get married".
4. Reduced stress (meaning the bride won't turn into "Bridezilla") - Everybody knows that planning all the details that go along with a wedding is a huge process. There are countless details that must be attended to. Some couples think all that work is too much and prefer instead to get married in Vegas where all the details can be arranged with one or two phones calls at the most.
5. It's unique compared to most marriage ceremonies as you can have any wedding theme you want - Las Vegas is infamous for its one-of-a-kind theme weddings, especially if you want Elvis to serenade you at your wedding.
6. It's very inexpensive, if cost is an issue - You can get married in Vegas for under $500 and still have a very nice ceremony. Then you can spend all that money you saved and put it towards your honeymoon or a house.
7. You can have your bachelor / bachelorette party, wedding and honeymoon all in the same city - Need I say more?
8. It's always fun because Vegas is a party city that goes 24/7 - Vegas is one city where you never have to worry about where the party is because wherever and whenever you go, you're guaranteed a fun time.
9. Only in Vegas can you actually have a "drive thru wedding ceremony" - Drive thru's are not just for burgers anymore. Some people might think this is a tacky idea but it doesn't have to be. Outside of a wedding dress, hairstyle choice is the second biggest topic for a woman on the big day! Here are a few hints and suggestions when the wedding is approaching for hairstyle wedding:
* Spend the time and money to go to a professional hair stylist! If you are serious about your wedding and the hair style wedding that you choose you should show it by investing in a professional. Sure, maybe you have a local person who always does your hair and knows it very well, but it is still important to get the professional help. * You may want to consider a theme! Many weddings come with hair style weddings that are theme related. In other words every bridesmaid will wear a similar hairstyle. This can be great if you are planning a centrally themed wedding. The only question when this topic is brought up is who should pay for the hair appointments- specific hairstyles can cost over $100 a piece! There is no hard and fast rule so it could either be the wedding party or each individual bridesmaid.
If you are stuck trying to decide between a few different specific styles of hair, you may want to consider this:
* Short to medium length hair (chin to shoulder length) is more accepted straight. When it comes to hair style wedding, short/ medium hair looks great this way! While this isn't a hard and set rule, it is more accepted this way. * Long hair (past the shoulder) is more accepted in a curled or bun fashion. It usually doesn't matter just how long the brides hair is, most of the time it will be fashioned into a bun or a curl if it is past shoulder length. Again, this isn't a hard and set rule but instead a strong consideration.
In 2007 there have been a few new trends already that have been adopted at several weddings. Here is a brief description of the two top 'trends':
* Highlights: Blond highlights have been a huge trend already in 2007 because it adds a light, fashionable addition to any normal hairstyle. It is cheap and trendy! * Hairpieces: Whether a bride uses a bow or a ribbon or a flower- hairpieces are in this year at weddings!
more info visit www.designerhairstyle.com
About the Author
Leigh Connelly are about making you look and feel better than you ever dreamed possible While he was officially established in the year 2000, He have a long history of commitment to the fashion industry. With every wedding gown that comes down the runway, a new trend emerges. This season, wedding gown designers made updates to classic styles and created new details that define modern wedding chic. To make the most of your debut as a fashion forward bride, learn the latest wedding gown trends and decide which fashion will fit your wedding. Straight from the runway, here are the hottest wedding gown trends for 2007:
Flowing Silhouettes
One of the biggest trends this season is wedding gowns featuring a flowing goddess-like silhouette. These gowns have loose billowy skirts with flowing fabric that create a dreamy quality. Many of the wedding gowns that have flowing silhouettes also feature a dropwaist, which creates the illusion of a longer torso. These gowns are not only beautiful and elegant, they are also very comfortable. Brides who choose wedding gowns with flowing silhouettes will be perfectly dressed for a destination wedding, an outdoor wedding or a casual affair.
Fit and Flare Shapes
Fitted bodices with flared skirts are making a comeback in wedding gowns. Unlike the trends of past seasons, wedding gown fashions moved away from the ballgown look of a fitted bodice with a full rounded skirt and instead brought a fresh look with a fitted bodice and skirt with a flared hemline. Mermaid hemlines, bubble skirts and trumpet skirts were all prevalent in wedding gown designers latest collections. Tiered skirts were another fresh look and featured tiers of lace, chiffon and other lightweight fabrics. Brides who wear gowns with fabric tiered skirts will add a touch of whimsy to their wedding.
Sweetheart Necklines
Another hot look for wedding gowns this season is the sweetheart neckline. A sweetheart neckline is shaped like the top of a heart - a detail that is inherently charming and romantic. The sweetheart neckline adds something different to the bodice of wedding gowns because it gives a curvy and interesting shape. Sweetheart necklines can be complimented by almost any type of sleeve, but on the wedding runway, they were most often paired with sleeveless gowns and A-line or flared skirts. For brides that want to give their wedding gown a romantic flourish, a sweetheart neckline is just the thing.
Fabric Embellishments
This season, brides are making a fashion statement with fabric. Instead of a strong prevalence of beading, rhinestones, or other accents, fabric is the method du jour for adding detail to wedding gowns. The wedding gown runway featured gowns with a wide range of fabric embellishments, from delicate draping to more dramatic ruffles and fabric flowers. Ruffles, ribbon, ruching, gathering, pleats, fabric flowers, and draping are all popular details for this season's wedding gowns.
As the bride at your wedding, you are the star of the show and all eyes will be on you. Your wedding gown is a reflection of your personal style; so create a modern look by choosing a wedding gown that has the latest updates. Now that you know the most current wedding trends, you can choose a wedding gown that truly shows off your good fashion sense.

About the Author
A wedding expert, Elizabeth Reuth offers wedding planning tips online for brides and grooms and is the author of the popular wedding vow book Perfect Wedding Vows in Minutes

A guide to wedding stationery

A guide to wedding stationery

by Elaine Man

You have got the wedding ceremony and the wedding reception venue booked so what's next? Well, you are going to need some guests which means sending each one a wedding invitation. "Simple" you say, let's get online and buy some wedding invitations! Hang on what's all this? Save the date cards, reply cards, place cards, thank you cards? Wedding stationery encompasses a lot more than wedding invitations as Elaine Man from Special Day Wedding Invitations (http://www.specialdayinvitations.co.uk/) explains below.
Save the date cards
These cards alert guests to your wedding date so that they "save the date". It is becoming more common for people to send a "save the date card" before sending the main wedding invitation. These are particularly useful if you are getting married at a time when people might be expected to have other commitments (i.e. Christmas and summer holidays). These cards can be sent as soon as a wedding date has been finalised (most usually when the wedding venue has been booked). As these cards do not contain a great deal of detail regarding the arrangements they can be sent out much earlier than an invitation and are typically sent about 6-8 months before the wedding. Some ranges of stationery so not explicitly include a "save the date" card however other cards in the same range (reply, thank you etc) can be used as a "save the date" card.
Wedding Day Invitations
These cards are used to invite guests to your ceremony and wedding reception and tell them where it is, when it is and what time they need to be there. It would be sensible to send out wedding invitations about 6-12 weeks prior to the wedding day to allow plenty of time for the guests to reply. The earlier people reply the earlier you will have certainty as to the number of people coming to your wedding.
Evening Invitations
These cards are used to invite guests to your wedding reception only (i.e. people you do not wish to invite to the ceremony itself) and tell them where it is, when it is and what time they need to be there. As for the day time wedding invitations the wedding evening invitation should be sent about 6-12 weeks prior to the wedding day.
Thank you cards
Thank you cards are sent out after the wedding to thank all your guests for their kind wedding gifts. We can provide a selection of different wording options for your thank you cards although many couples like to also include a hand written message in the card.
These cards can also be used to notify friends and family of a change of address if you have moved to a new address after your marriage.
Reply cards
Replay cards are issued with wedding invitations for the guests to use when replying to your invitation. Reply cards are sometimes included with wedding invitations to encourage a quick reply, this in turn allows you to finalise numbers and costs earlier on.
Place cards
Place cards are used to indicate where each guest is seated at the wedding breakfast and are used to compliment the wedding table plan. Non-personalised cards are blank whereas the personalised ones are pre printed with the names of the bride and groom together with the date of the wedding.
Menu
Menu cards are used to let your guests know what is on the menu for the wedding breakfast. This will include not only what food will be served but also the timing of speeches and toasts. It is advisable to check with your wedding venue before ordering your menu cards to check that it accords with their understanding of the menu.

About the Author
Elaine Man owns Special Day Wedding Invitations (http://www.specialdayinvitations.co.uk/) an online store stocking high quality wedding stationery at prices to suit all budgets.

Wedding Ceremonies – It’s all down to detail!

Wedding Ceremonies – It’s all down to detail!
by: Elsie Gilbert

Wedding ceremonies are simply not what they used to be. Set patterns and traditional format ceremonies are making way for unique, well thought out wedding ceremonies that are tailored to the individual needs of the bride and groom. However, whatever type of wedding ceremony you chose, there are still some important considerations when planning picture-perfect wedding ceremonies.Wedding Ceremonies – The TimingTime of year is fundamental. Not everyone wants a summer wedding, although most brides and grooms tend to favor summertime wedding ceremonies, which means that popular venues are likely to be booked up, well in advance. If you are prepared to take a less traditional approach, in terms of dates and times, you may find that you have a much wider choice of venues. These days, many wedding ceremonies take place in non-traditional locations such as beaches or even underwater! Whilst it may be easier to find availability for a more unusual venue, these specialist ceremonies are likely to be more expensive.Another great way of securing the venue that you really want, at a cheap price, is to be flexible. Many locations now offer evening or mid-week wedding ceremonies, at a reduced price. Getting married at a non-traditional time is also likely to mean that other costs such as transport, accommodation and photography are cheaper. Overall, you can make substantial savings.Wedding VowsNo two wedding ceremonies are the same and one of the best ways to add an individual touch, without going overboard, is to create your own vows. These need not be religious, and can often be more meaningful and a truer expression of love than a traditional, formulaic vow. Always check with the person conducting the ceremony, as there are still basic requirements in terms of what must be said and carried out to make the wedding legal. Flowers and MusicIt is the little touches that make wedding ceremonies special to the individuals involved. Never underestimate the effect that a few well chosen songs or unusual flower arrangements can have on your guests.Try not to have a rigid idea about the type of flowers that you want. Remember, flowers are very seasonal, so it is always best to ask your florist for professional advice. Also bear in mind that the flowers you chose should complement whatever theme you are following. So, for example, if you are going for simplicity, stick to simple flowers that are classic and understated. Always check with venues for wedding ceremonies what sorts of floral arrangements they can accommodate. Some venues will have limited space and may need to re-use the area very quickly, so will be unable to cope with large amounts of flowers. If flowers are important to you, remember to check with the wedding ceremonies’ venues BEFORE you book or, failing that, request that you are the last wedding of the day.Thinking about the small things early on will make the big things happen, on the day!

About the author:Elsie Gilbert offers great insights to all different types of wedding ceremonies, wedding styles, wedding accessories. With wedding crafts you can insert a personal touch and hold the price down as well. Here are a few ideas for wedding crafts to add sparkle and creativity to your big day.It is not that hard to create your own wedding veil. To make this wedding craft, you will need a length of bridal illusion in the desired length. You will also need a comb to attach it to your hair and a hat or headpiece to cover the comb. Sew large running stitches about an inch from the end of the illusion and gather it tightly. Now sew the veil to the comb. Top with hat or headpiece. As an alternative, you can decorate a wide-brimmed straw hat with silk flowers, ribbon, and pearls. The bouquets and floral arrangements can also be personally crafted. For a simple outdoor wedding, consider wild flowers. They are free and have a charm all their own. Bouquets can be arranged in large clear vases, with a bow tied elegantly around.Favors for the guests are particularly appropriate wedding crafts. Refrigerator magnets are a simple and well-received favor. A really nice idea is to make a magnetic picture frame and include a picture of the couple. You could cut a frame out of craft foam in one of the wedding colors, arrange over the photo, and glue all onto a cardboard backing. Place self-adhesive magnet tape on the back of the cardboard. Decorate the front of the frame with foil heart stickers and a monogram of the couple's last name. Bows for the ends of the pews or rows make simple wedding crafts. Wide velvet ribbons are nice for fall and winter weddings, while satin is more appropriate for spring and summer weddings. Loop some flat lace in with the ribbons. In the center of the completed bow, attach some silk flowers and pearl sprays with a hot glue gun.Perhaps you'd like to try your hand at decorating your own cake. Check the craft section of the department store for pans and gadgets of all types to help you create a cake to remember. Do remember, though, that it takes a steady hand. Be sure to practice before starting on the real cake.Preparing for a wedding can be expensive, but with wedding crafts, you can take some of the sting out. Plan early, however, because it will take a little while to make favors for everyone and all the other little details you will want to take care of. Maybe creating wedding crafts will even relieve some of those wedding jitters. In any event, crafting your own wedding items is a way to have a personal, beautiful, and less expensive wedding. Often times the bridal party, or the people who have been asked to be in the wedding, will through the party for the couple. Or, other times, friends or family members will hold it for them. Making a wedding shower memorable starts with planning. First, you need to decide if the party will be formal or relaxed and laid back. Often times, large families will have a formal wedding shower for the bride and groom which may include a fancy dinner at a nice restaurant. Other times, some of the brides close friends will get together at a house and throw a small get together for them. Either way, once this choice is made, the planning begins.Things to consider when planning a wedding shower are numerous. Start with taking a trip to an area craft or party supply store to get some wedding shower ideas. Look at what these places have to offer. The often have wedding shower decorations, brightly colored tablecloths, balloons, and streamers. They may have wedding shower invitations and wedding shower games. Some will have a selection of things to purchase to use as wedding shower favors. See if anything seems like a good idea or strikes you as something that bride and groom would like. Many couples choose a wedding theme when they are planning their wedding. Themes are simply some sort of aspect that carries through the wedding linking the separate occasions. Some examples include a color pattern. The color pattern, or group of colors chosen will carry throughout the event. From the bridesmaids dresses and groomsmen's ties all the way down to the color of the napkins on the tables at the reception will often match. This theme, if one has been chosen should also be incorporated within the wedding shower. Or, the wedding shower theme can be something similar. Finding a theme that the couple would appreciate will be a great added touch to the wedding shower.Whether you are looking for free wedding shower games or wedding shower favor ideas, the Internet can be a great resource. For fresh ideas, things your friends haven't done yet, browse through the hundreds of online retailers who specialize in the area. To find one, try using a search engine. Many companies will be available. Also, there are many message boards dedicated to wedding planning in general. You can find answers to your questions there as well.By connecting all the pieces of the puzzle, and taking the time to plan, any wedding shower can be a great hit. Consider what has been done in the past and what you would like to try new. Adding games and decorations will add a relaxed feel and make the couple and their guests feel welcome and happy. These things combined will create a great memory for everyone involved.

About the author:Mike Yeager Publisher http://www.a1-party-supplies-4u.com/

Wedding Dresses – Getting the Best for your Budget

Wedding Dresses – Getting the Best for your Budget
by: Elsie Gilbert

Weddings are a very expensive business and costs can quickly spiral out of control. Most brides want to ensure that they look their best, so it is little wonder that wedding dresses are the one area that seems reliably to run over budget in almost any wedding arrangement. But, you don’t need to spend a fortune in order to look stunning and to generate admiring glances from all around. Wedding dresses are a matter of very personal choice and it is often the case that imagination can be a much greater asset than pure cash! Wedding Dresses - Clever (and cheap) Ideas Most weddings have an underlying theme and wedding dresses should be included within this theme. For example, if you are having a medieval theme, it is possible to choose a darker bodice or even an impressive hairpiece to accentuate an otherwise very plain dress. As a general rule, wedding dresses do not need to over elaborate. One, well-thought out accessory can be much more effective than a very large and excessive dress. A plain dress is often a lot cheaper and with a little thought, a classic, simple style can actually look more sophisticated. Many brides often change their wedding dresses, before the evening celebrations, as these formal style dresses tend to be cumbersome and heavy.Doesn’t this seem like a huge waste of money? Why not have two-piece wedding dresses that will allow you to change your skirt for a shorter, lighter version, whilst keeping the shaped bodice as well as any theme that you have developed? Wedding Dresses – The Key to Accessorizing Depending on your body shape and the type of wedding you are creating, different wedding dresses will suit different accessories. For example, if you are considering the traditional tight bodice, tapered in at the waist and flowing freely over the legs, you may like to concentrate on accessorizing your middle with the use of a thin belt. As every bride wants to look her best, accessories should be used to accentuate your assets. By using key accessories, wedding dresses can remain rather plain and simple, meaning that they are not only cheaper, but may actually be usable for other occasions, in the future. A bride with a fuller waist but an impressive bust may wish to consider wedding dresses that simply skim the middle part of her body and cling to the bust and hip area. In these instances, it is worth drawing attention to your neckline with a large necklace or even a shawl. Take some time to shop around for those finishing touches; sometimes there is nothing better than a pure, single fresh flower, so don’t always assume that expensive is best. Think simple and think classic. Plain wedding dresses can be just as effective as the most sensational designer wedding dresses, if given the personal touch. Above all, your dress is guaranteed to be unique! About the author:Elsie Gilbert offers great insights to all different types of wedding ceremonies, wedding styles, wedding accessories. Traditionally, wedding favors are usually placed on the table, in front of every guest, although this idea seems to have diminished, in recent years. Choices of Wedding Favors Trying to select a small gift that is going to appeal to the entire wedding party is tricky, to say the least. Arguably it is impossible! However, there are ways to avoid giving inappropriate wedding favors, while also keeping the budget in check. Why not simply create a selection of sweets and chocolates that can be placed in the center of the table for all to pick at. This is a great way of allowing people to choose their own gifts, without having to worry about issues of taste. With a small, intimate party, it is actually possible to select gifts, individually. This is only really possible when the party is very small; normally a maximum of thirty is appropriate for these types of wedding favors. If you take this approach, be certain that position the wedding favors correctly and inline with the table settings or you might just find that your carefully selected wedding favors end up in the wrong hands! Edibles are always a good choice when it comes to wedding favors as many people are getting quite hungry after the ceremony and photographs. Sugared almonds are considered to be the traditional wedding favors. However, the fact of the matter is that not many people actually enjoy sugared almonds, so it may be better to consider an alternative. Why not use chocolates or sweets instead? If you are in a warm climate chocolates will need to be stored in a refrigerator until the last minute, so make sure that you have this facility. Alternatives to Wedding Favors Moving away from the more traditional types of wedding favors, you may wish to consider a more modern and innovative approach. By daring to be different, not only can you save yourself some money, but you are also more likely to make a lasting impression on your guests. Some different ideas for wedding favors include a lottery card each, but think about how you would react if someone wins big-time on the ticket that you have bought! If this thought does not appeal, then consider having a raffle where everyone is given a ticket and there is a range of prizes available. Another great idea could be to place a bowl of goodies such as chocolates sweets and alcohol miniatures, in the center of the table, allowing a bit of potluck for the guests. If you have a bit more time on your hands, you could wrap the wedding favors up and allow guests to select their own and take a chance on the outcome. One of the key things to remember with wedding favors is that you want to generate discussion. When guests arrive at a wedding reception, they are often slightly shy or timid and having a game involving wedding favors will do wonders to break the ice!

About the author:Elsie Gilbert offers great insights to all different types of wedding ceremonies, wedding styles, wedding accessories. It has become customary to give something in return to your guests that they can keep as a memory of your special day.Favors don't have to be large or expensive. Some are elegant, some are practical and some are just plain fun. Choose a favor that reflects your wedding theme in some way. Many favor ideas can easily be interchanged with various themes just by substituting a decoration or color on the favor.Budget For The Cost of Wedding FavorsWhen planning out your wedding budget, be sure to allot about 3% of your money toward favors. Make sure you know the approximate number of guests that will be attending your reception, then you will be better able to estimate the maximum amount of how much each favor can cost. The fewer guests that you have, the more expensive your favors can be, if you so choose. When making or buying any favors, keep in mind the color scheme of your wedding and use ribbons, tulle, flowers, etc. decorations that reflect your wedding colors.Once the favors are completed, attach personalized favor tags that have your names and wedding date printed on them. You can use paper tags or monogrammed ribbons that you either create yourself or purchase from a vendor. Although an exciting time of life, planning a wedding is also a very stressful time. For that reason, many people have discovered the benefits of hiring a professional coordinator to ensure everything comes together as it should. In this article, we are providing you with the top five reasons for hiring a wedding planner so you can enjoy your wedding with much less stress.

Stress-Free

The number one reason for hiring a wedding planner is to dramatically reduce the level of stress. Every wedding, even the best planned will have challenges. Unfortunately, when the bride and/or groom are the ones trying to handle all the obstacles along with everything else, they feel completely overwhelmed and suddenly, the enjoyment of wedding planning is out the door. With a professional planner, they supervise all of the events associated with your wedding so you no longer have to sweat the small (or big) stuff. That means everything from the delivery of the flowers, to the set up of the cake, to the limos arriving on time is taken care of for you.

Creativity

A good wedding planner will have been in the business for years. Because of this, they have coordinated hundreds of weddings and can take ideas to share with you for your upcoming wedding. That means instead of a wedding cake that is three layers of chocolate, you could end up with something tropical, one layer of pina colada cake, one of red raspberry, and a third of coconut cream. The point is that by hiring a wedding planner, your ideas can be expounded on, enhancing your wedding.

Precise Detailing

For all weddings, there are so many small details that often, things get overlooked. One of the frustrations for the bride and groom is trying to maintain all of those details so the wedding goes off without a hitch. An experienced wedding planner knows all about the small details and has an outstanding ability of keeping track of them. He or she would sit down with the bride and/or groom and go over each aspect of the wedding, covering every possible angle so nothing is missed.

Insider Information

A huge benefit in hiring a wedding planner is that they know who the best of the best is. If you want a DJ, they can provide you with several top choices. If you want a catered meal, they can tell you exactly which caterer serves fabulous food at an affordable price, or if you want a horse drawn carriage to take you to the reception, they know who to call. For you, that means no time is wasted making phone call after phone call, only to walk away frustrated and empty handed.

Discounts

Finally, hiring a wedding planner is an excellent idea if you want to save money. Because these professionals have connections with all types of people in the wedding industry, they can typically pass on excellent discounts to you. Keep in mind that does not affect the quality of the service, just the price.

About the author:Dion Semeniuk has been married for over 5 years and has been helping people plan their wedding with the help of his wife. Most wedding gowns are made to make the bride look absolutely stunning; however, not all wedding gowns photograph as well as they should, so it is important to consider what your short listed wedding gowns will actually look like, in the photographs. Wedding Gowns and the Accessories that Make Photographs Special The types of wedding gowns that will look best in your wedding photographs depend largely on the style of wedding photographs that you have chosen. If you are opting for the contemporary style of photographs that are not staged but actually follow the day, on a more informal basis, then you need to be aware that your choice of wedding gowns will be viewed from every angle. On the other hand, if you are opting for a small selection of formal photographs purely from the front, then your choice of wedding gowns should focus on the detail at the front of the dress. If you have chosen to have only black and white photographs, it is worth considering what your chosen colors of wedding gowns will look like in monochrome. Top Photography Hints for Wedding Gowns Never forget how important the detail on the back of wedding gowns is. During the ceremony, your guests will have little to look at other than the back of your wedding gown. Therefore, it is important that all wedding gowns have some special detail and unique look; it is also a great opportunity for the wedding photographer and a picture from the back of the ceremony venue can be stunning! Bear in mind that accessories can look a little strange in wedding photographs so it may be worth investing in accessories that are detachable from wedding gowns, so that you can choose whether to have them in a given photograph or not. This is a really good idea when the accessory is particularly detailed as it may be superb as part of a close-up picture, however, it may just look like a stain from a distance! Another good idea is to have a cardigan or jacket as an accessory for your choice of wedding gowns. This way you can vary the photographs and the look that you present, throughout the day. Wedding photographs can appear a little repetitive; therefore it is a great idea to have a range of accessories and additions so that you can vary the photographs and make it look like you had several wedding gowns and not just the one! Remember, your choice of wedding gown is going to be captured in your photographs for years to come. When you are choosing your perfect dress, consider its ‘photograph ability’ as well as what it will look like in the flesh – they are both equally important! The correct wedding decorations can really help to add that extra touch of sparkle to your wedding day. Having said this, no one wants to spend a fortune on wedding decorations that will more than likely end up in the trash can at the end of the day!Wedding Decorations – Modern TrendsModern trends in wedding decorations suggest that less is most certainly more. A few simple touches are normally enough to change an ordinary room into a venue fit for your special day. Ideally, wedding decorations should follow the same theme that runs throughout the wedding day. Don’t forget the smallest of details and make sure that the wedding decorations are placed in the ceremony venue, in the reception venue and even as part of the transport.Wedding Decorations – Budget Conscious IdeasThe cost of wedding decorations can really spiral out of control, so make sure that you budget correctly and that you shop around for the best deals. You may be surprised by how many artistic people you have as friends and family; ask around to see if some of these people would be prepared to help you create that special look. If you cannot find a friend or relative to help you out, then why not try the local college or art school as this will offer a dedicated, skilled yet cheap option. It is vital that you plan ahead, because the cost of wedding decorations will normally be a lot less if you buy them all together and not bit by bit.Wedding Decorations – Dare to be DifferentTraditional wedding decorations, such as flowers, are generally very expensive so take a different approach by creating your own decorations. Give your wedding an individual feel and save some money, into the bargain, by daring to be different! Material of various types can be a really useful way of creating effective wedding decorations. Large bows, for example, make superb decorations for chairs in both the ceremony and the reception venue. As a centerpiece, why not have a glass bowl with some small stones and a floating candle. Not only will these decorations be cheaper than large flower displays, but they are also more permanent and can be given as gifts or retained as a memento of your wedding day.Wedding decorations are a matter of personal choice, but remember, be different, be organized and be consistent and you won’t go far wrong! However, wedding rings are likely to be worn for the rest of the bride and grooms’ living days, so they are, arguably, the most important element of the wedding accessories. Wedding Rings – The Basics Wedding rings are exchanged as part of the ceremony, normally as vows are said by both parties. The guests do not normally see the wedding rings until after the ceremony is well and truly over, so it can be tempting to skimp on this element and save money. Bear in mind that the bride will almost certainly wear her wedding ring alongside her engagement ring. It is essential, therefore, that they both rings work together well. This is particularly important if the engagement ring is of an atypical shape or with a particularly large stone. Always consider your everyday jewelry. Although it is possible to accessorize on your wedding day to complement you choice of wedding rings, this ring will be worn every day, for many years, so it must fit in well with your general style. This is equally important for the groom, as he too will have to wear the ring for some time, so he should also consider what would go well with his usual attire. Contrary to popular belief, it is not essential to choose golden rings. If you prefer silver colored rings but want to retain the quality, why not consider white gold? It is also possible for the bride and groom to have different styles of ring, so do not feel pressured into selecting matching styled rings. Wedding Rings – Ideas for Slashing the Budget Whilst you want the best wedding rings possible, you do not need to spend a small fortune! Often, wedding rings are passed through the generations, particularly on the male side, so find out whether this is the case so that you can avoid the time and energy of searching for the perfect wedding rings! When you are selecting an engagement ring, it may be possible to negotiate a discount on wedding rings, if they are purchased at the same time. Another possible option is to consider using cheaper wedding rings for the ceremony itself and to purchase the more permanent wedding rings, at a later day. The real point of this is to spread the major expenses – weddings do not come cheaply! A great way to make cheaper wedding rings look unique is to have them engraved with your wedding date and your initials. With a little imagination, wedding rings can truly look magical, without costing the earth! Just like you need to find the perfect wedding dress, it should be without question that you need a quality wedding videographer. Now I don’t mean a wedding videographer that asks Aunt Gretchen to say a few words about her little niece Sharon who is all grown up. And I don’t mean a wedding videographer that likes to force everyone to smile in the middle of dinner time because he is always in your face with that video camera. Run from those wedding videographers. The Right Wedding Videographer Albert Ling of Encore Weddings, was the right videographer for me. He was unobtrusive (we hardly knew he was around), he didn’t use crazy special effects in his previous wedding videos and he had a demeanor that made it easy to feel comfortable around him. Don’t worry, the right wedding videographer for you is out there. And once you find him, hold on tight because he is an important part of your wedding budget and he (along with the wedding photographer) has your once in your lifetime moments in his hands. Make sure your wedding videographer is experienced. You wouldn’t believe how easy it is for someone to just call themselves a videographer. Do you really want to be one of their early wedding video mistakes? Albert had hundreds of video that my husband went through with him during the consultation but even though he had done so many wedding videos, our wedding video was still different from all the others.I just popped in my wedding DVD (that’s right, I didn’t get my wedding video on VHS) in order to give you some important tips on what to look for in your wedding videographer’s portfolio. Yes, you need to see the wedding videographer’s portfolio. The Wedding Videographer’s Portfolio You need to make sure he hasn’t done 1,000 wedding videos that are exactly the opposite approach you want. It also matters if he clearly understands what you want from him. Can he produce that? And has he done that before? You don’t have to see all his videos but you don’t want to see a video montage of what he thinks are his best clips. You want to see what he has done from start to finish. See if the videos were steady if he uses a hand held video camera instead of a tripod. Watch for editing – do they make sense? Are you going from the wedding ceremony to the reception or from the reception decorations to the ceremony? Has he captured all of the members of the wedding party? Was he too slow and didn’t get the “here comes the bride” entrance? Where the close ups “too close up”? Are you having an outdoor wedding? What if it is windy? Does he have unobtrusive mikes for the wedding party? Or will you end up with the sound of wind on the wedding video and muted voices? You also want to be able to speak with happy clients from the wedding videos you liked the most. One Videographer or Two? One Video Camera or Two? For my wedding, we had one videographer with one handheld camera. Having a second camera can help obtain extra points of view which may be needed during editing and sometimes if the first camera man is unable to get a shot, the second camera will hopefully be able to pick it up. Our wedding videographer was experienced so we didn’t feel like we needed a second camera or videographer. Wedding Video on DVD or VHS? After watching the wedding video once, most people don’t sit through it in full many times after. They usually fast forward to parts that they like which over time wears out your wedding video. If you choose to have your wedding video on DVD, you can easily jump to the parts you want to highlight instead of having to sit through a few hours or constantly fast forward and rewind your videotape. And speaking of wedding videos that last a few hours - please spare your friends and family. You don’t need every single moment from your wedding day on the wedding video. My wedding video is 30 minutes long. It was set up like a story book with scenes from throughout the day highlighting the wedding ceremony, my father’s speech and the cutting of the cake. The other scenes were played with one of four songs we chose.Special Additions to Your Wedding Video The wedding videographer will probably offer you a few additions to your package. I personally felt they were unnecessary but you may feel differently. You may include a prelude of some wedding planning, commentary about the couple from their family and friends, photo montages and video from before the couple met and special effects (slow motion and fading in and out).Wedding Videographer Cost You can expect to pay anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000 for your wedding video. The wedding videographer will be one of your biggest wedding budget expenses. And now some advice that was given to me that I want to share with you.My matron of honor gave me some advice when I was planning my wedding … even if you are on the fence about a wedding video – just get it! You may never watch it or your grandmother may be the only one that watches it but one day if you want to watch it and you don’t have a wedding video, you will feel incredibly sad about not having one to watch. One last thing! Make sure you include your wedding videographer (and camera man) on the list for a meal at the reception or else you risk having them take an hour break so they can get some lunch/dinner. (Remember they are working straight close to 8 hours if not more! Feed them! No exceptions.) Bearing this in mind, it seems only fitting that these people should be recognized for their time and effort with specifically chosen wedding gifts all of their own.Who Should Receive Wedding Gifts? The obvious answer is anyone who helps out to the extent that the bride and groom feel that they deserve special wedding gifts. Typical individuals who should be considered for such wedding gifts include bridesmaids, best men, ushers and the parents of the bride and groom.Wedding gifts are also often given to the professionals that help make the day happen, such as your hairdresser or the wedding planner, although these gifts are more token gifts and can be as simple as a nice card or a small bouquet of flowers. With larger weddings, it is also common practice to offer a small gift to every guest in the form of a favor, placed at each place setting. Due to the large quantity of these wedding gifts that you are required to purchase, they tend to be much smaller and cheaper such as sugared almonds or small chocolates.Choosing Wedding GiftsOf course, your choice of wedding gifts depends largely on the known likes and dislikes of the people whom you have invited to attend your wedding party. If you have a small number of people involved you may be able to purchase individually chosen, more expensive wedding gifts such as a special ornament or piece of jewelry. But remember that it is the thought which counts, and token wedding gifts such as cufflinks, teddy bears and mugs can be just as effective. As part of the wedding speeches, bouquets of flowers are often given to the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom; this is particularly the case with more traditional wedding ceremonies.A great cheap way to please the wedding party guests is to offer them pictures of the day as well as any attire that you have purchased especially for them. It is very difficult to think of anything else to do with the bridesmaid dresses and jewelry, so why not use them as unique wedding gifts?By giving the critical members of the wedding party wedding gifts you will ensure that your important helpers feel that their efforts have been noticed and they will feel that they have truly been a vital part of your big day.Giving wedding gifts to guests may seem a little odd, but why not share the good fortune of your day and spread a little happiness? And many brides, and couples, search for unique wedding favors which will make a statement and from which the guests will remember this wedding with fond memories. So when you’re planning your wedding, one of the decisions you’ll undoubtedly need to make is in the selection of wedding favors for your guests - and what better wedding favors than heirloom wedding favors. These small gifts are a wonderful way to show your guests that you appreciate them coming to celebrate your special day and to say a small, personal “thank you” to your guests for their attendance, their friendship, and their wedding gifts to you.No longer limited to weddings for the wealthy or well-to-do, unique wedding favors can now be ordered from a number of sources, including online companies, for a fraction of what they once cost. Even a modest or small wedding can be made much more special by providing thoughtful and even unique wedding favors for the guests.Wedding favors are typically small but thoughtful items that serve as a memento of your beautiful day. Traditional items include things like ornate bottle-stoppers, cake servers, and serving spoons. Such items are intended to be a keepsake for the wedding guests rather than something they will actually use in everyday life. Some couples, however, will choose wedding favors that serve double duty as a reminder of the event as well as a useful item. Small picture frames, decorated place card holders, lovely candy dishes, pen and pencil sets, and other such favors fall into this category. Edible wedding favors such as mints or candies in an attractive tin are also available. The choices are truly limited only by your imagination.Typical wedding favors come with traditional wedding theme designs including bells, doves, hearts, flowers, and flowing ribbons, but can also include more modern motifs like dolphins. With the more costly but far more personalized option of custom ordering, virtually anything is possible. The most important consideration is selecting wedding favors is to remember that these are items meant simply to say “thank you.” You’re not going to find the perfect item that will please each and every guest at your wedding, but a little thoughtfulness will result in favors that will at least let your guests know that you’re thinking of them. The guests at your wedding are primarily your family and your friends, and they will invariably appreciate a small souvenir of the event.Wedding favors should not be confused with the traditional gifts provided by the bride and groom to members of their wedding party. It is proper to provide the bridesmaids and groomsmen with a more personal and separate gift. Anything that says you appreciate their friendship and participation in your special day is appropriate for these close friends or family members. Your wedding is undoubtedly one of the most important days in your life and all of the planning that goes into this momentous event reflects that importance, helping to make your special day a beautiful experience for all involved. Selecting the perfect wedding favors - unique wedding favors - can help make that dream of beauty and perfection into a reality! However, bear in mind that the price of wedding flowers can escalate and most of these flowers will simply be thrown out, at the end of the day. Choosing your Wedding Flowers Your choice of wedding flowers can make such a difference to both the look of your wedding and of course your budget. Wedding flowers are largely seasonal; if you choose a flower that is not in season, it may not be as good as you would hope and it will certainly cost more! Obtain professional advice from someone who regularly provides wedding flowers; they will almost certainly be better placed to advise you on the easiest way to achieve your desired look. Wedding Flowers for the Bride A bride will normally, as part of her outfit, hold some wedding flowers. Traditionally, these bouquets were large and flamboyant, however trends are changing. Many brides now prefer simple wedding flowers, such as a single rose or lily. This can be incredibly effective, not to mention a lot cheaper and easier to handle. The bridal wedding flowers must complement your dress; so choose the wedding flowers with your dress in mind. As a very simple dress may be swamped by a large bouquet, pay careful attention to the combination, not just the actual wedding flowers themselves. Wedding Flowers for the Bridal Party It’s not just the bride who has to be considered when it comes to wedding flowers. Bridesmaids, the groom and best man will also be wearing flowers so their outfits must also be considered. Male buttonholes are generally very small and inconspicuous, in fact it isn’t even necessary to use flowers, a small fabric attachment can be just as nice and can also double up as a keepsake as it will not wilt, in time. When it comes to wedding flowers for your bridesmaids, it is vital that you consider their ages. A 3-year old is unlikely to be able to handle a large bouquet and similarly it may be a disaster with a thorny rose collection. With wedding flowers, simple is often best. All of the wedding party will have many other things to consider, not just the wedding flowers; keep them simple and easy to handle. Your choice of wedding flowers is extremely important so do give it the time it deserves. Plan in advance and take professional advice, it will be worth it, in the end. Gone are the days of the plain ‘meringue’ style wedding dresses with a little cute well-placed bow; now we are daring to be different! In fact, one of the latest trends is to offer wedding dresses that can be used again. Not only is this a great idea from a budget point of view, but it is also reflective of the simple lines that are part of the modern trend in wedding dresses. Arguably, this fashion is due to the ever increasing age of first time brides as well as the large number of second weddings. Wedding Dresses for the Winter WeddingWhenever we think about wedding dresses, we automatically think of a warm, summer’s day, with a crisp, wafting white dress to match. However, there is a growing trend towards winter weddings. Winter wedding dresses may not be pure white and are often the preferred choice for second time brides.Trends in winter wedding dresses include deep red colored dresses or dresses that include a large amount of black. Another great idea is to include a fur collar, or long fake fur coat. If you love a touch of luxury and you want something a little different, then winter wedding dresses may just be the thing for you!Wedding Dresses for the Summer WeddingThe key to summer wedding dresses, this year, is color. Many wedding dresses are now using substantial amounts of colored fabric to add a classic touch to an otherwise traditional white or cream dress. Weddings are becoming much more sophisticated; generally, brides will select a theme that they will maintain throughout all aspects of their wedding. Wedding dresses must, of course, fit into this theme and as such colors and accessories are vital. Popular, seasonal colors for wedding dresses include lilac, pink, blue and yellow. Often, brides will choose a half-color theme where the bodice is colored or the skirt is colored, but the other half of the dress is kept in a plain cream or white. Subtle is the name of the game with modern wedding dresses.Wedding Dresses – Standing Out From the CrowdToday, wedding dresses are all different; no-one wants to look the same as the next bride and, naturally, brides go to extreme lengths to make sure that they stand out from the crowd. Of course everyone wants to do so in a classy and not trashy way! It seems that individually designed wedding dresses are the way of the future. By commissioning a made to measure dress you can make sure that it fits perfectly, is exactly what you want and above all, is unique.Wedding dresses are an expression of your personality, so don’t hold back; let your imagination run wild! But if you’re on a constricted budget, then there are also options for you.
Things to consider
One of the main things to consider when it comes to photography is what you want from your pictures. Do you want pictures of your while family or mainly of the two of you? If it a larger wedding or is a more private celebration?
You and your soon-to-be spouse should sit down and list all of the pictures that you would like to have in your wedding album—that is, poses for pictures. With this list, you’ll be able to see if you should invest in a professional or consider other options.
Where do you want your pictures taken? Some couples like to have outdoor shots, so they will need to find a photographer that does that as part of their services. The length of time you would like the photographer to be at the wedding will also factor into the price.
Look at photographer samples to see if your styles match. If they don’t, the photographer may recommend someone else. They want you to have good pictures, even if it’s not with them.
When you’re on a budget
If you’re nervous about spending a lot of money on your photographer, but still want a lot of pictures—you’re in luck. With the new and improved digital cameras, you have a better shot (no pun intended) to get great pictures.
Have a good friend (who isn’t in the wedding party) volunteer to take the pictures. Since digital cameras show you what the picture looks like instantly, you can take as many as you need in order to get it just right. And the quality is just as good as many professional photographers.
Another way to get a lot of chances for good pictures is to place disposable cameras at every table. People love to take pictures of other people, so you’ll get a lot of candid shots of your relatives and friends. Plus, the quality is pretty good, so you’re not wasting your money at all.
It doesn’t matter who takes your pictures as long as you get the ones that you want. If you want to have someone else do it, then invest in the professional. But for the budget conscious, having a friend or relative take charge is just as good.
